CFO-level thinking, without the CFO-level salary.

A Platinum Advisor who reads the numbers with you and turns them into a shortlist of decisions, with the option of a full outsourced accounting team behind it.

What this is

Big business expertise on a small business budget.

Most growing businesses cannot justify a full-time Chief Financial Officer, and most do not need one. What they need is the judgement. Our virtual CFO service gives you the expertise without the cost of the hire, and the complete outsourcing option puts a dedicated accounting team behind it without adding headcount.

Here is how we help

Guidance on cash flow management, month to month.

Growth opportunities identified while there is still time to fund them.

A clear, current view of the financial health of the business.

A dedicated accounting team, without hiring in house.

The tax savings

Advisory is usually the part the tax savings pay for.

We review more than 1,000 returns a year, and the average business we look at is overpaying by about 40%. For most clients that saving is larger than our fee, which is what pays for the bookkeeping, the reporting and the advisory.

Based on the returns we review. What any individual business saves depends on its own circumstances.

The advisory rhythm.

Monthly

Numbers and narrative

The close, then the short version of what changed and why it matters.

Quarterly

Forecast and priorities

Where the year is heading, and the three things worth acting on now.

Annually

Plan and structure

Targets, structure and capital decisions set for the year ahead.

As needed

Before the decision

The call happens before you sign, not in the review afterwards.

Advisory is guidance rather than a guarantee of results. Recommendations are made against your own numbers and reviewed with you.

Common questions.

What is the difference between this and bookkeeping?

Bookkeeping produces the numbers. Advisory decides what to do about them. Most clients need both, in that order.

Can you work alongside my in-house team?

Yes. Complete outsourcing is an option rather than a requirement. Plenty of clients keep their bookkeeper and add the CFO layer above it.

How often would we actually speak?

Monthly as standard, quarterly for planning, and before any decision big enough to move the year.
