When the IRS makes contact, you should not be the one answering.

Audits, notices and back taxes handled on your behalf, from the first letter through to the resolution.

What this is

Relief from IRS stress.

Tax problems are stressful, and they get worse when they are handled alone. Whether it is an audit, an overdue balance or a notice nobody can decipher, we step in and deal with the IRS for you.

Here is how we help

We handle all IRS communication on your behalf.

Audit representation, aimed at avoiding costly penalties.

Guidance through resolution, so the outcome is worked toward rather than waited on.

The pressure comes off you, and the business keeps running.

The tax savings

Resolve what is open, then make sure it does not happen again.

We review more than 1,000 returns a year, and the average business we look at is overpaying by about 40%. For most clients that saving is larger than our fee, which is what pays for the bookkeeping, the reporting and the advisory.

Based on the returns we review. What any individual business saves depends on its own circumstances.

How representation works.

Step 01

Read the file

Notices, transcripts and returns in front of us before anything is answered.

Step 02

Take over contact

Authorization is filed and the IRS deals with us from that point on.

Step 03

Build the response

Documentation assembled, the position agreed with you, and everything submitted on time.

Step 04

Close it out

Resolution, a payment arrangement where one is needed, and a plan so the exposure does not repeat.

Outcomes depend on your specific facts and on IRS determination. No particular result is promised in advance.

Common questions.

The letter looks serious. How fast should I act?

Fast. Most notices carry a response window, and the options narrow once it passes. Send it to us before you reply to anything.

Do I have to speak to the IRS myself?

In most cases, no. Once representation is authorized, the correspondence and the calls come to us.

What if I have not filed for several years?

That is a common starting point. We deal with the unfiled years first, because nothing else can be settled until they are in.
